About Me

I was born on my family’s two hundred acre farm outside of the small town of Polk, Ohio. This experienced influenced my view of the world around me, especially my love for the outdoors. After receiving my first camera from my mom and watching an Ansel Adams interview after his death I decided that nature photography was the form of photography for me.

Over the years I became distracted by many things in my life. The path as a full time nature photographer was not always a clear, straight path. But I guess in life we really don’t ever take a straight path do we? With age comes wisdom, along with the looming feeling of time slipping away. So over the past fifteen years I’ve been pursuing this career choice seriously.

My photographs reflect the feelings I have for nature. Through them I hope the viewers feel as if they themselves are standing in the landscape with me. Nature photography is my passion it is my life.
